Piyano Evi (Piano House) is a music education center in Istanbul that provides piano, violin, guitar, singing, and drama lessons. I designed a simple yet bold approach for this education space.
2017 Visual Identity
Approach
Based on the idea of a space/center for music education, an open-framing shape was created for the visual identity. The letter ‘P’, formed by subtracting parts of the top view of the piano, becomes a symbol representing the welcoming space that is Piyano Evi.
The pieces of the symbol also refer to the decorations of the Baroque period and form the graphic elements of the identity. The corner parts that make up the logo take different roles in building the visual identity, as separate items or as frames carrying the idea of an inclusive music space.
I believe that good design results from good communication and effective collaborative process. I try to use time efficiently during the design process, understand the problem correctly, empathize, and make the appropriate design decisions as rationally and objectively as possible according to the content of the project.
To discuss a project or collaboration feel free to get in touch.
